What these tools do

Minecraft's commands are powerful and unforgiving. A summon with nested entity data, a give with enchantments and lore, a loot table with weighted pools — each is a block of strict syntax where a single misplaced brace makes the whole thing fail, often without a useful error message. These generators exist so you can describe what you want in a form and get syntax that is correct by construction.

They are grouped into three families. Command generatorscover summon, give, item, setblock, fill and item replacement — the commands used constantly in map making and server setup. Data pack tools produce the JSON for loot tables and NPC definitions that belong in a datapack rather than in a chat bar. World utilities handle bulk work such as converting an image into a block mural.

Everything runs in your browser. No account is required, nothing you type is transmitted to EloTiers, and the output is plain text you can paste anywhere.

Picking the right Minecraft version

The single most important setting on any of these pages is the version selector. Minecraft 1.20.5 replaced most of the old NBT item data with a component system, which means a /give command written for 1.20.4 will simply be rejected on 1.21, and vice versa.

If a generated command does not work, check the version before anything else. It accounts for the large majority of failures, and it is invisible in the command text itself unless you know what the two formats look like.

Frequently asked questions about the tools

Are these Minecraft tools free?

Yes. Every generator on EloTiers is free and requires no account. Commands are built in your browser and nothing you enter is sent to EloTiers.

Which Minecraft versions are supported?

The generators emit component syntax for Java 1.20.5 and later, and legacy NBT syntax for earlier releases. Select the version you actually run before copying a command, because the item and entity data format changed substantially in 1.20.5.

Why does my generated command not work?

The most common cause is a version mismatch between the syntax selected here and the server you are pasting into. The second most common is length: commands longer than the chat character limit have to be placed in a command block instead.

Do I need operator permissions?

Yes. Every command these tools generate requires at least permission level 2, which normally means operator status or a single-player world with cheats enabled.

Can I use the output in a datapack?

Yes. Loot table and NPC output is JSON intended for a datapack, and command output can be placed in function files. Run /reload after adding files to apply them without restarting the world.
