About the /summon generator
The /summon command places an entity into the world at a chosen position with a chosen set of properties. It is the fastest way to create a scripted mob for an adventure map, a decorative armour stand, or a test subject for redstone and datapack work. Writing it by hand is error-prone because the entity data is nested NBT or component syntax, and a single misplaced brace makes the whole command fail silently.
How to use this generator
Pick the entity type, set the coordinates (relative coordinates written with a tilde are usually what you want, so the entity spawns near you rather than at a fixed world position), then add the properties you need. The generator writes valid syntax for the Minecraft version you select, which matters because item and entity data changed shape in 1.20.5 when components replaced much of the older NBT layout.
Things worth knowing
- Relative coordinates (~ ~ ~) spawn the entity at your own position; ~ ~1 ~ puts it one block above you.
- Setting NoAI on a mob freezes it in place, which is what you want for decorative or display entities.
- A custom name only stays visible without a nameplate hover if CustomNameVisible is set as well.
- Commands longer than the chat limit need to go into a command block rather than the chat bar.
The generated command is produced entirely in your browser and nothing you enter is sent to EloTiers. Paste the result into the chat bar or a command block in your own world. If a command is rejected, check that the Minecraft version selected here matches the version you are actually running — the item and entity data format changed substantially in 1.20.5.
