Mural Generator
Placement
About the block mural generator
A mural converts an image into a grid of Minecraft blocks chosen to approximate its colours. It is how large pixel-art builds are produced without placing blocks one at a time, and it turns a build that would take hours into a handful of commands.
How to use this generator
Supply the image and the target dimensions, and the generator matches each pixel to the closest available block colour, then emits the commands needed to place the result. Larger dimensions capture more detail but produce proportionally more commands.
Things worth knowing
- The vanilla block palette is limited, so images with subtle gradients lose more detail than flat-colour artwork.
- Murals are built on a flat wall or floor; the generator produces coordinates relative to a chosen origin.
- Large murals exceed the /fill block limit and are emitted as multiple commands.
- Concrete and terracotta give the widest and most consistent colour range for this kind of build.
The generated command is produced entirely in your browser and nothing you enter is sent to EloTiers. Paste the result into the chat bar or a command block in your own world. If a command is rejected, check that the Minecraft version selected here matches the version you are actually running — the item and entity data format changed substantially in 1.20.5.
