Tournaments and organised events are run through connected servers rather than hosted directly on the site. EloTiers records the results the same way it records ordinary matches, which means event performance feeds the same per-kit ratings as everything else.
That has a practical consequence: a strong tournament run moves a player's ladder position, and a poor one does too. Event results are not kept in a separate bracket that leaves ratings untouched.
Announcements, brackets and entry details are posted in the EloTiers Discord server, which is where organisers coordinate with the platform.
Entry requirements are set by the organising server rather than by EloTiers. Some events restrict entry by ladder position, which is one of the practical uses of a per-kit rating.
