What a player profile shows

A profile collects everything EloTiers knows about a single Minecraft player in one place. That includes the visible Elo per kit, tiers reported by external community sources, the player's clan if they belong to one, their friends and the servers where their matches were recorded.

The important distinction on every profile is source. A rating computed by EloTiers from recorded matches and a tier assigned by a community list such as MCTiers, PvPTiers or SubTiers are two different kinds of claim, and they are never merged into a single unlabelled number. If a value came from a community source, the profile says so.

Profiles are public and require no account to view. Searching a username that has never been recorded returns an empty profile rather than estimated numbers — an absent rating means no data, not a low rating.

Reading a profile properly

Per-kit ratings

Each kit carries its own rating. Compare a player against the ladder for that kit rather than against their own number on a different kit - the scales are not interchangeable.

External tiers

MCTiers, PvPTiers and SubTiers values are shown with their source. A missing external tier means that community has not rated the player, which is not the same as a low rating.

Clan context

If the player is in a clan, the profile links to the clan roster. The player's ratings feed that clan's score, so profile and clan page always agree.

Match history

Recorded matches show which servers a player actually competes on. A profile with ratings on one kit and nothing elsewhere usually means a narrow but genuine sample.

Friends

The friends list reflects connections made on EloTiers. It is a social feature and has no effect on ratings, tiers or ladder position.

Verified linking

A linked profile has been proven to belong to the EloTiers account holder. Unlinked profiles are still viewable but are not claimed by anyone.

Frequently asked questions about profiles

Do I need an account to look up a player?

No. Profile lookup is public. Enter any Minecraft username and the profile opens with whatever public data exists for that player. An account is only needed to link your own Minecraft profile or to join a clan.

Why does a profile show no data?

A profile is empty when the player has not been recorded on a connected server and no community source has rated them. That is a normal state, not an error. Searching a username that has never appeared in a tracked match will return an empty profile rather than invented numbers.

What is the difference between EloTiers Elo and MCTiers, PvPTiers or SubTiers?

The EloTiers rating is calculated from matches recorded on connected servers. MCTiers, PvPTiers and SubTiers are separate community tier lists maintained elsewhere and assigned by their own communities. EloTiers displays them side by side with an explicit source label so you always know which number came from where.

How do I link my own Minecraft account?

Account linking uses a proof step rather than a username claim: you demonstrate control of the Minecraft account before the link is established. This prevents anyone from claiming another player's profile and attaching it to their EloTiers account.

Can I remove my profile from EloTiers?

Profiles are built from public match records and public community tier lists. If you want your linked account disconnected or your data reviewed, contact the site through the details in the footer.

What does a skin render on a profile show?

The render is drawn from the player's current public Minecraft skin. It updates when the underlying skin changes and is purely visual - it has no bearing on ratings, tiers or clan standing.
