Vanilla
What this kit actually rewards
A quick read on the patterns and discipline that decide outcomes in this mode.
Vanilla sits inside its own EloTiers ladder. Use the vanilla ranking to see the current top players and inspect profiles for tier history, source coverage and the visible Elo behind the labels.
What Vanilla actually is
Vanilla is combat with no modifications to the underlying game - no custom kits, no altered mechanics, no server-side adjustments to reach or cooldown. It is the reference format, and it is where mechanical habits learned on modified servers are most exposed.
How fights are decided
Everything runs on the game's own timings, which means the attack cooldown fully governs damage output and knockback behaves exactly as the base game defines it. Players used to modified combat consistently over-swing here, because the muscle memory they built rewards a rate the vanilla cooldown will not pay for.
Reading the Vanilla ladder
The Vanilla ladder is a useful cross-check on any other rating. A player strong across modified kits but weak in Vanilla is usually relying on server-specific behaviour rather than fundamentals.
Swinging at the rate a modified server allowed is the dominant leak, and it silently halves damage output for the whole fight.
Ratings on this ladder are calculated only from matches recorded on connected servers and are kept separate from every other kit, so a position here says nothing about the same player's standing in Sword, Pot or UHC. Where a profile also shows a tier from an external community source such as MCTiers, PvPTiers or SubTiers, that value is labelled with its origin and is never merged into the EloTiers rating.
