Competitive Minecraft PvP has never had a single place to look up how good someone actually is. Ratings live on individual servers that do not talk to each other, community tier lists cover different kits with different criteria, and a player's reputation often travels further than any recorded result. If you want to know whether a player is genuinely strong at Pot or merely well known, you end up asking around.
EloTiers exists to make that answerable. It records match results from connected servers, calculates a rating per kit from those results, and displays them next to the tiers that community sources have published - always labelled, never merged. The goal is not to declare a single best player but to make the evidence legible.
Servers connect through authenticated API keys and submit match results as they happen. Those results feed per-kit rating pools, so a Sword result never touches a Pot rating. Player profiles collect the resulting ratings alongside external community tiers, clan membership and the servers where the matches took place.
Everything public is genuinely public. Rankings, profiles and clan pages need no account and are available through a documented API, so the community can build on the data rather than screenshot it.
There is no global skill number. Collapsing Sword, Pot, UHC and the rest into one figure would hide the thing that makes the scene interesting, which is that different kits reward genuinely different players.
Community tier values are never presented as EloTiers results. If MCTiers, PvPTiers or SubTiers rated a player, the profile says which source it came from. A missing external tier means that community has not rated the player - it is not a low score.
Ratings are not editable by request. They move when matches are recorded, and that is the only way they move.
EloTiers is an independent community project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Mojang Studios or Microsoft, and it is not affiliated with the community tier lists whose values it displays.
